Successful People Are Dreamers

Brian-Tracy-Success-Picture-Quotes (1)

how-to-be-successfulYour dreams are your visions of where you’ll be after the battle, your prize at the end of your journey to success. Your goals are the steps you take to finally attain your prize.

Unless you’re willing to work hard and establish some discipline in your life, all of your dreams will be pipe dreams, little mental fantasy trips that will never materialize.

Make concrete steps toward fulfilling your ultimate dream, and start with solid objectives called goals. Your dreams are where you want to go, your goals are how you get there.

The first indispensable step to getting the things you want out of life is this. Decide what you want.

Don’t be afraid to think big and dare to be great. Dreamers are not content with mediocrity. They never dream of going half way.

People with goals succeed because they know where they’re going.

Discipline and Self Control Equals Success

Discipline and Self Control Equals Success

Many talk about discipline and self control, the fact is, neither can be achieved without faith. Faith is believing what you haven’t yet seen. So, if you’re waiting to achieve any form of success and have no faith that you will ever achieve it, you might as well give up now!

“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead” James 2:17 (NIV).

“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing” John 15:5 (ESV).

Contrary to popular belief, “All talk, no action” does not a success formula make! Talking about success in any area is not the same as being successful in that area. To be truly successful you need to exercise discipline and self control to develop the required skill for success. :)

In her article, ‘Discipline Is Not A Dirty Word’, Joyce Meyer said:

“Years ago, people were expected to work at their jobs for a long time before getting raises, vacation and special benefits. Today, these things are expected up front. I’m all for people having great benefits, but there’s a sense of entitlement today that can actually hurt us.

I believe a lot of people want the “perks without the works.” In other words, they want to have all of the good results without having to discipline themselves or take any of the responsibility to get them.

College football coach, Vince Lombardi, famously said that he was going to teach his players how to discipline themselves so they could have what they said they wanted to have.

You see, although today we can microwave a meal, there’s no such thing as “microwave Christianity.” Actually, I like to call God’s process “The Law of Gradual Growth.” Why? Because little by little, as we make right choices, He delivers us from our enemies and takes us where we need to be.

Yes, in the beginning, disciplining yourself will be difficult. It won’t feel good and you won’t like it. But every time you make a choice to do the right thing, the next time it gets a little easier. And you get one step closer to your goal.”

So, if you really want success in any area of your life the formula is discipline and self control equals success! 😀
